8 Days Cairo & Nile Cruise Easter Holiday Package

Overview
Start in Cairo with the Pyramids of Giza and the Grand Egyptian Museum before flying south to Luxor. There, you’ll board a Dahabiya, a smaller sailing boat that offers a different way to travel along the Nile.
Over the next few days, we’ll stop at Edfu Temple, the rock shrines at Gebel el-Silsila, Kom Ombo, and Philae Temple. You’ll also visit the Aswan High Dam, with time to enjoy the river between stops. An optional excursion to Abu Simbel is available while you’re in Aswan.
We’ll fly back to Cairo on Day 7, leaving you time to relax or choose an optional evening activity before your flight home the following day.
Tour Plan
- Pickup: once you arrive at the airport. You will find our representative from Kemerya Tours waiting for you. to help you and take you to the hotel
- Hotel Check-in: while you arrive at the hotel. Take your welcome drink and stay back. Our representative will finish all the check-in procedures, and he will review your itinerary
- Your First Night in Egypt: Enjoy a peaceful night and get a good night’s rest. Tomorrow we will begin our adventure with one of the world's greatest wonders.
- Optional tours: There’re many optional tours if you hope; you can choose one of Kemerya's optional tours, such as
- Sound & light show at the Giza Pyramids.
- Cairo by Night tours.
- Nile Dinner Cruise.
- Giza Pyramids: After breakfast, we’ll begin our journey with one of the world’s greatest wonders. the legendary Giza Pyramids to see King Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure. It was built from more than 4,500 years ago.
- Great Sphinx: Then we’ll see the Great Sphinx. Standing beside the Giza Pyramids. It’s a lion body with the face of a pharaoh. And it is considered one of the greatest symbols of ancient Egypt.
- Camel or Horse Optional Ride: there’re any optional activities in the Pyramids; you can choose between a horse ride or camel ride to start your adventure across the golden desert surrounding the Giza Pyramids and enjoy the spectacular panoramic views while exploring the quieter side of the Giza Plateau away from the crowds.
- Lunchtime: you’ll eat one of the most delicious Egyptian foods in Cairo, take a break, and enjoy your delicious lunch before continuing our journey.
- Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM): After lunch, we’ll continue our journey at the Grand Egyptian Museum to discover thousands of the remarkable artifacts that tell the story of ancient Egypt, and it is the newest and the largest archaeological museum dedicated to a single civilization. We will find Ramses II greeting us while we enter the Grand Egyptian Museum.
- Return to your hotel: After a wonderful day exploring the cultural heart of Cairo, we’ll return to your hotel to relax.
- Flight to Luxor: After breakfast, get ready to check out from the hotel and transfer you to Cairo International Airport to fly to Luxor
- Dahabiya Boarding: Once you arrived Luxor, you’ll meet our team in Luxor to take you to board your Nile Cruise and check into your cabin & enjoy the peaceful atmosphere as your unforgettable journey along the Nile begins.
- Lunchtime: you’ll eat one of the most delicious Egyptian foods on board, take a break, and enjoy your delicious lunch before continuing our journey.
- Luxor Temple: After lunch, we will visit Luxor Temple to continue our discovery tour. It is one of the most elegant monuments in ancient Egypt. And Luxor Temple played an important role in royal ceremonies. and it later expanded by Ramses II
- Overnight: after this wonderful day, we’ll return to the cruise boat to enjoy your first night on board in Luxor.
- Morning at Edfu: We’ll start the morning right after breakfast by stepping off the boat to visit Edfu Temple. Your guide will walk you through the halls of this ancient sanctuary, which is remarkably intact compared to most other sites along the river.
- Sailing to Gebel el-Silsila: After heading back to the deck, we'll cast off and sail further south toward Gebel el-Silsila. Because a Dahabiya is much smaller than standard river cruise liners, we can pull right up to parts of the riverbank where big ships aren't allowed.
- Exploring the Rock Shrines: You'll get off right at the site to look at the stone-cut shrines and the Temple of Horemheb without fighting through big tour bus crowds.
- Dinner on the Water: We'll spend the evening docked by a quiet stretch of the river, where you can eat dinner outside on the deck under the stars before turning in for the night.
- Kom Ombo Temple: We'll arrive in Kom Ombo in the morning. After heading ashore, your guide will take you through the double temple split between Sobek, the crocodile god, and Haroeris. You'll also get to see the crocodile mummies displayed in the small museum right next to the site.
- Afternoon on the Water: Once back on board, the boat sets sail again toward Aswan. The rest of the day is yours to kick back on deck, watch local farming life along the riverbanks, and enjoy lunch as we move down the river.
- Philae Temple: After breakfast, we'll head over to the riverbank and take a brief boat ride out to Agilkia Island. Your guide will walk you through Philae Temple, explaining how it was dismantled and moved block-by-block to save it from rising river waters.
- Aswan High Dam: From there, we'll drive over to the High Dam to take a look at the massive embankment that holds back Lake Nasser and regulates the Nile's flow across the country.
- Final Evening Onboard: We'll return to the Dahabiya for your last night on the river, where the onboard chef will serve dinner out on the deck.
- Optional tour: There’s an Optional tour to Abu Simbel if you want to know more about Aswan Temples & its history.
- Flight to Cairo: Take your breakfast before checkout the Nile Cruise & going to the Aswan Airport. To return back to Cairo.
- Free Time: Once we return back to Cairo. We’ll take you directly to your hotel. It’s time to relax.
