7 Days White Desert Expedition & Bahariya Oasis Tour
Overview
This 7-day safari takes you deep into Egypt’s Western Desert away from the standard tour routes. After leaving Cairo, we explore Bahariya Oasis before taking private 4x4s through the Black Desert, Crystal Mountain, and the chalk formations of the White Desert. You'll spend your evenings in quiet desert camps with fresh meals cooked by our Bedouin guides before returning to Cairo for your final day.
Tour Plan
- Pickup: once you arrive at the airport. You will find our representative from Kemerya Tours waiting for you. to help you and take you to the hotel
- Hotel Check-in: while you arrive at the hotel. Take your welcome drink and stay back. Our representative will finish all the check-in procedures, and he will review your itinerary
- Your First Night in Egypt: Enjoy a peaceful night and get a good night’s rest. Tomorrow we will begin our adventure with one of the world's greatest wonders.
- Optional tours: There’re many optional tours if you hope; you can choose one of Kemerya's optional tours, such as
- Sound & light show at the Giza Pyramids.
- Cairo by Night tours.
- Nile Dinner Cruise.
- Drive to Bahariya: After breakfast, we’ll start our adventure at Bahariya Oasis.
- Black Desert Safari: Once we arrived, we’ll switch to a 4x4 Jeep to head into the Black Desert and explore its dark volcanic mountain peaks.
- El Haize & Hot Spring: After that we’ll stop at El Haize village for a fresh local lunch, followed by a quick soak in the warm mineral spring.
- Agabat Valley: Then we’ll drive through the high sand dunes of Agabat Valley, try sandboarding down the slopes, and watch the desert sunset.
- Wild Camping: Later in the evening, we set up our sleeping spot out in the desert sands, share a hot meal cooked by our Bedouin team, and settle in under a night sky full of stars.
- Crystal Mountain: After breaking camp and having breakfast, we make our way over to Crystal Mountain to check out the natural quartz ridge sticking right out of the desert rock.
- Bir Sigam Springs: We take a quick break down the road to hop into the warm mineral water at Bir Sigam spring for a refreshing soak.
- Bahariya Heritage (Optional): If you're interested in the local history, we can take a detour around Bawiti to see the Temple of Alexander the Great and the Golden Mummies Museum.
- Farafra Oasis: We sit down for a local lunch together, then set out across the open desert highway toward Farafra Oasis for the night.
- Badr Museum: We kick off the morning wandering through Badr’s Museum, a handmade mud-brick gallery full of raw sculptures that capture daily life in the oases.
- Well No. 6 Springs: By the afternoon, we drive out to Well No. 6 so you can spend a few hours floating in the warm sulfur springs.
- Desert Camping: Late in the afternoon, we head into a peaceful area of Farafra where our Bedouin hosts prepare a traditional evening meal over glowing embers before we turn in for the night.
- Oasis Morning: We take it easy over a warm breakfast at the campsite, stopping by one last freshwater spring for a quick visit before hitting the road.
- Drive Back to Cairo: We load up the private car for the highway drive back north, getting you checked into your Cairo hotel in time for a quiet evening.
- Giza Pyramids: After breakfast, we’ll begin our journey with one of the world’s greatest wonders. the legendary Giza Pyramids to see King Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure. It was built from more than 4,500 years ago.
- Great Sphinx: Then we’ll see the Great Sphinx. Standing beside the Giza Pyramids. It’s a lion body with the face of a pharaoh. And it is considered one of the greatest symbols of ancient Egypt.
- Camel or Horse Optional Ride: there’re any optional activities in the Pyramids; you can choose between a horse ride or camel ride to start your adventure across the golden desert surrounding the Giza Pyramids and enjoy the spectacular panoramic views while exploring the quieter side of the Giza Plateau away from the crowds.
- Lunch Break: Enjoy a local Egyptian lunch at a restaurant before starting the afternoon tour.
- Coptic Cairo: Then we’ll visit the Coptic Cairo to visit the Hanging Church, St. Sergius Church, and Ben Ezra Synagogue, and your Egyptologist guide will tell you the historical stories about these historic sites.
- Hotel Return: After a wonderful day exploring the cultural heart of Cairo, we’ll return to your hotel to relax after this amazing tour.
- Breakfast at the hotel: Take your breakfast before checking out from the hotel.
- Airport Transfer: At the scheduled time our representative will transfer you to Cairo International Airport for your departure flight.
